 What are details for symptoms of narcolepsy?
All right, so I'm writing a story wherein the main character has narcolepsy... however, it's hard for me to write her because... well... I don't have narcolepsy.
I'd like to know the details of (i.e. the feelings experienced during) EDS, and what it feels like when you're experiencing EDS while *standing*. Do you get dizzy and shut down? How long do the daytime naps last?
How vivid are the dreams, and what is sleep paralysis like?
... ^^" I really hate to sound like a jerk for asking weird questions like these, and I really don't mean to offend. I'd just like to portray narcolepsy in a realistic fashion, and-- unfortunately-- only knowing the symptoms doesn't help me figure out what they really feel like. |
