Anyone else out there have problems sleeping while pregnant? Insomnia?

Hi! I'm about 5 weeks pregnant and for about a week I have been SO tired during the day, but then at night I can't sleep. Even though I'm tired I can't sleep. It sucks because I just lay in bed for hours or end up on here until about 4:30AM or longer. Either way it sucks. I just want to be back on my normal sleep pattern. And I wake up early with kids every morning so it's not that my days and nights are mixed up. I just went from getting about 8+ hours of sleep each night to about 3 and then sometimes I nap when my kids do. HELP! any suggestions?

ALSO my sister takes melatonin when needed & swears by it but I read you shouldn't take it during pregnancy... Although her DR. said it was fine for her to (that was about 5 yrs ago though)...

PLEASE give me suggestions....

Is anyone else experiencing this??

This is my 3rd baby and thisdidn't happen with the first 2... so does it go away??
