I am having serious problems sleeping.... help! So I am the type of person that can sleep for hours upon hours. I use to be able to sleep 10 hours a night then get up and have a nap in the afternoon, wake up from my nap and go to work... and now....
for the last two weeks I have maybe slept 4 hours each night. My mom recommended I take an over the counter sleeping pill but you can only take them a couple nights in a row or else your body will "need" them to sleep. So out of the two weeks I have taken sleeping pills two nights and been drinking one of those nights. The only time I have slept a full 8 hours is those 3 nights when either sleeping pills or alcohol was involved.
Other then that I am sleeping for 4 hours, but waking up every hour, like my body is saying its time to get up but it will be like 5am.
Before I could drink coffee right up until I went to bed and still go right to sleep. I changed that and i don't drink or eat anything with caffine or sugar after 7pm. I have tried regulating when I go to bed, trying to go at the same time every night... and still nothing. I toss and turn all night long.
I am a bartender so I work at like 5pm till about midnight.
I feel so worn out! Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated! |
