Default Lamictal and insomnia?

Has anyone who takes Lamictal found it to cause you insomnia? I've been taking it for 3 months now, progressively increasing my dose, now I am at 150mg, and over the past few weeks, my sleep has been so disturbed. I can't seem to go to bed at night, even when I am so tired I can't keep my eyes open, as soon as I lay down, I have to get up again. I find myself watching tv until 3am, and then getting up at 6 to go to work. My doctor doesn't seem to think it's such a big deal, he claims it's a fear that I will be alone for the rest of my life, and that I need to get into a relationship. I think it's simply the medication.Any advice? Thanks!

Default

I have trouble sleeping, but I don't know if it is due to the fact I'm on Lamitical or not. May I ask why you are on it? Are you on it for psychological reasons, or because of seizures? I am on it for psychological reasons. I'd see a different doctor - your doctor sounds full of bull.
