Wow, your question is almost exactly what I just asked 3 seconds ago. Although I'm 5'8" :P. I think you should stop eating before sleep and do more exercises each day, I think it'll get you tired and it also helps you burn those carbs. I have tried this height calculation thing and they say that people who are overweight too much tend to not grow as much. Anyways gud luck.

Your not short because you can't sleep. Sounds to me like your very confused but I will try and answer what I think your asking. In order to get a good nights sleep try not to eat before you go to bed because your body will keep you awake because your digesting it. Try winding down before you try and sleep. For example read a book or watch T.V. or even take a bath before. Finally try to go to bed at the same time each night to set your biological clock to the right time and not to confuse it.

First of all- you need to time your eating differently. The body can't burn calories as quickly at night so it's not good to eat right before bed.Second of all- yes you need sleep but I'm pretty sure that's not why you're 5-2"...what about genetics?Third- get involved in a health club, websight,or activity to put you on more of a schedule. If you change your diet, exercise, cut caffine,do all that you can .. and you still can't sleep maybe talk to your parents and possibly a doctor. There might be a medical reason for lack of sleep. As far as your heigth- I think it's wonderful (I'm 5-5"..) My 40 yr. old sis does too (she's 4-11"!) but we have 2 very tall brothers and 1 brother is 5-7". You can't change how tall you are so concentrate on benefiting by changes you can make!

Are you diabetic? Or anemic? Lots of people who are over weight have sleeping disorders. You shouldn't eat at least 2 hrs before bed time. Try going to bed at 9 instead of 10 so that if it takes you a few hours to fall asleep you won't be up till midnight. Reading a book is your best bet. Read something boring too like "War and Peace", or the dictionary. Talk to your parents about what is going on have them make a Dr's appointment for you. Maybe there is something else going on?
