Ultrasound nightmare, do I have cholest. buildup?

I'm only in my 20s but have a family history of bad heart disease, etc...

I had an ultrasound done on my arteries in my neck and found white strings that are not good to have. Are these cholest. buildups?

I exercise everyday, I'm thin, I don't eat much fat.

Should I stay away from meat from now on and make sure I never eat butter again?
I know there are multiple explanations for this but what do you think has contributed most to this?
