Default Can you have sleep apnea without snoring?

Sometimes I dream that I'm running out of breath. In my dream I usually reach for my asthma inhaler.

Is that Asthma related or Apnea related?
*** My wife says I do NOT snore.

If you don't snore, you don't have apnea. Your body stops breathing because the muscles in the neck restrict air flow. You wake yourself up with a large snore-like gasp. Your bed-mate would certainly know if you do this as it would wake up the dead. I tried wearing ear plugs and putting the pillow over my head to no avail. Could hear him in the next room!
