How do I sleep deeper with my girlfriend?

I am a very light sleeper. My girlfriend is a heavy snorer and I have a difficult time sleeping with her. She snores like a bear and with my light sleeping I average 3-4 hours of sleep a night. She is willing to try the throat spray to cut down on the volume but I still have the issues of being a light sleeper. I have taken Melatonin (6mg) and tried Ambien. Even with these pills I cant seem to stay asleep. Do you know any way of getting a deeper sleep naturally? I hate to rely on pills every night I stay with her. And if we get married I will have to do this every night for the rest of my life.
