Default Why is it that only mammals snore in their sleep, or when there is a

shortage of oxygen? Cats and humans snore in their sleep, but what about cows and sheeps? Do they shows signs of ' snoring' in their own way? What about the non-mammals, do they do the same or something similar to snoring when they are in short supply of oxygen? Non-mammals like birds have lungs, but do they snore as well?

Please provide a scientific answer. Thank you! This has long been mystifying.
